Explain the profile behind the transfers
A published FIAU administrative measure illustrates the weakness of vague claims that funds come from “investments” when the transaction history and customer profile remain unexplained. Use that as a practical lesson in specificity, not as a universal bank-document checklist or a prediction about an individual application.
State who owns the funds, how they were obtained and why they are moving through the proposed account. Attach records supporting the narrative. Explain material changes in activity rather than assuming a bank can infer the purpose from an exchange name on a statement.
Separate company and customer flows
For a business, draw two diagrams: one for operating funds and another for any customer assets. Name the banks, payment providers, exchanges and custodians involved. Mark expected volumes, currencies and customer locations so the institution can assess the proposed relationship rather than a vague sector label.
Include the entity’s regulatory status and the exact services it performs. Ask which flows the bank will support and what evidence it expects during ongoing review. An account opened for salaries and supplier payments should not silently become the settlement route for client transactions.
Keep records ready for follow-up
Match each significant bank movement to the exchange record and relevant wallet transaction. Account for fees and changes in units. For historical holdings, preserve the earliest available acquisition evidence and record any gaps honestly; a present balance does not show the origin of the assets.
Bank acceptance is institution-specific and is not guaranteed by a crypto licence. Keep a dated record of enquiries and responses, and refresh the evidence file when the model changes. Supply transaction and ownership evidence through verified channels while retaining exclusive control of private keys and recovery phrases.
Sources & scope
Official sources support the jurisdiction context. The working checklists are CryptoGov’s editorial preparation suggestions, not an exhaustive application or filing requirement. Confirm the rules and your circumstances before acting.
