How it works
A token transaction can identify an asset, sender, recipient and amount. Matching it to a particular trade-finance invoice requires an external reference and agreed settlement terms.
Worked example
For two invoices with identical amounts, retain the invoice number, token contract and transaction hash together. The amount alone cannot distinguish the payments.
What to verify
Confirm the beneficiary and asset denomination against the invoice before marking it paid.
