How it works
A Pyth price update includes a timestamp and a confidence measure. A consumer needs all three fields to judge whether the quote suits its use.
Worked example
For a feed reporting 100 with confidence 0.50, compare the width of that interval with the margin on the transaction. Also check how old the observation is.
What to verify
Verify the feed ID and the application’s maximum accepted age before using a price.
