Litecoin (LTC)

Calculate what a merchant actually receives in LTC.

CoinMarketCap rank #22 · 1 November 2026

How it works

Litecoin is a native payment asset. When a wallet spends a transaction input it can create several outputs, including change. For reconciliation, follow the output addressed to the merchant and the confirmation policy agreed for the sale.

Worked example

A fictional input contains 3 LTC. One output pays an invoice of 0.8 LTC and another returns 2.1999 LTC in change. The difference of 0.0001 LTC is the fee. Recording the input as revenue would overstate the sale.

What to verify

Keep the transaction ID, receiving output, amount and block. If the invoice is denominated in AED, document the exchange rate and time used separately.
