How it works
Ethereum Classic and Ethereum have independent ledgers. The same-looking account address can have different balances on each.
Worked example
If a sender reports a successful ETC payment, search the transaction on an Ethereum Classic explorer and compare the recipient address with the invoice.
What to verify
Check the receiving platform’s ETC network and confirmation requirement before counting the deposit as available.
