Choose the right chain for a transfer or staking operation.

How it works
The Avalanche Primary Network includes the C-Chain, P-Chain and X-Chain. The C-Chain supports EVM contracts. The P-Chain handles platform operations including staking. An AVAX balance shown in one context cannot establish that an application on another chain can spend it.
Worked example
A platform accepts deposits on the C-Chain. Before sending AVAX, match its network instructions with the sending wallet. If the funds are elsewhere, investigate the documented cross-chain route before entering an address.
What to verify
Record the chain as well as the asset. For a cross-chain operation, track the corresponding steps through to receipt on the destination chain.
