How it works
A perpetual position tracks a contract with a position size, margin and funding terms. Buying the platform token produces a different exposure.
Worked example
Before interpreting a screenshot marked Aster as a token purchase, check whether it shows a spot balance or a leveraged position with an entry and liquidation price.
What to verify
For a derivatives trade, record the underlying pair, direction, collateral and funding history.
